Iron & Timber Co. warrants its work as follows:
Workmanship & Fabrication — For a period of one (1) year from the date of substantial completion of our scope, Iron & Timber Co. warrants that all fabrication, welding, and installation performed by us will be free from defects in workmanship and will conform to the approved shop drawings.
Finish — For a period of one (1) year from the date of substantial completion of our scope, we warrant our powder coat finish against defects in application, including peeling, blistering, and delamination, under normal use and exposure.
What We Will Do — If a covered defect is reported within the warranty period, Iron & Timber Co. will, at its option, repair or replace the affected work at no cost to the client. Where a finish repair is required, color and gloss matching of adjacent or aged material cannot be guaranteed. This repair-or-replace remedy is the client’s exclusive remedy under this warranty.
Exclusions — This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear, weathering, fading, or gradual loss of gloss
- Surface rust or corrosion resulting from exposure to de-icing salts or chemicals, standing water, or direct contact with dissimilar metals or pressure-treated lumber
- Damage caused by other trades, including work performed on, around, or attached to our steel after our installation is complete
- Damage from impact, abuse, misuse, abrasive or chemical cleaners, or failure to perform routine cleaning and maintenance
- Modification, cutting, drilling, welding, refinishing, or repair of our work by anyone other than Iron & Timber Co.
- Movement, settling, deflection, or failure of the structure, substrate, or attachment points to which our work is anchored
- Design, engineering, or code compliance, which remain the responsibility of the Architect or Engineer of Record
- Materials or components furnished by others
- Work for which Iron & Timber Co. has not been paid in full
Claims — Warranty claims must be submitted in writing to warranty@ironandtimberco.com within the warranty period and must include the job name, a description of the condition, and photographs. We require reasonable access to the work and a reasonable opportunity to inspect before any repair is undertaken. Repairs performed by others without our prior written authorization void this warranty as to the affected work.
Limitations — This warranty is extended to the original client only and is not transferable unless agreed to in writing. It is the sole and exclusive warranty provided by Iron & Timber Co. and replaces all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Iron & Timber Co. is not liable for incidental, consequential, or delay-related damages.
